Ryan C. Washburn represents a variety of corporate clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, complex business transactions, and on general organizational and business matters.
Ryan advises clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including business formation and structuring, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and commercial contracts. He also has experience counseling clients on tax planning and transaction structuring to achieve efficient and practical business outcomes.
Before joining Bodman, Ryan was an associate with a Michigan-based business and tax law firm where he represented clients on corporate transactions and tax matters. He also worked as a senior tax consultant with a global accounting firm where he helped analyze the tax consequences of transactions and helped clients identify and minimize exposure and risks.
As a law student at the University of Illinois College of Law, Ryan served as a law clerk with the Wayne County Circuit Court where he regularly performed legal research and assisted with drafting.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys traveling and outdoor recreation and is an avid Detroit sports fan.
