Overview

Irina Nadrau is a paralegal who works closely with Bodman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Irina supports Bodman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group by assisting patent attorneys, including preparing and filing patent applications as well as prosecution documents with USPTO and WIPO; assisting with incoming USPTO mail; managing and preparing Information Disclosure Statements; preparing correspondence to clients and foreign counsel; preparing monthly docket review materials for client meetings; assisting with IP searches and security interest recordation with USPTO; sending reminders to attorneys about upcoming deadlines; conducting searches and gathering documents at foreign patent office websites; and providing assistance with IP-related tasks for foreign and U.S. patent protection as needed.

Also, Irina supports the Banking Group with intellectual property searches and reports, recording security interest agreements, and releasing of security interests. Irina is well-versed in using various databases, including USPTO, IPDAS, PATTSY, Google charts, Espacenet, WIPO, Elysian, iManage, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, Wolters Kluwer – CCH IntelliConect, Hoover, Litigation Monitor, Dun&Bradstreet, Experian, FastCase, ICLE, and Accurint databases.

Irina previously served as an Intellectual Property Practice Assistant where she assisted in processing patent applications; prepared documents for patent prosecution; extracted relevant IP information from official USPTO databases and correspondence; assisted attorneys with patent filing by resolving discrepancies, errors, and omissions; maintained IP portfolios for several large companies using a docket system and leading an important role in monitoring actions, terms, and tracking deadlines; assisted attorneys by reviewing prebills in Expert Billing and creating a seamless system for generating invoices; performed IP research on public and private databases and incorporating references and citations in the IDS preparation; and processed incoming and outgoing correspondence and ensured the clients were well informed of every action in the patent prosecution process.
