Carson Garguilo focuses her practice on representing financial institutions in connection with commercial loan originations.
Before joining Bodman as an attorney, Carson worked at the firm as a summer associate, gaining exposure to a broad range of clients and legal issues.
During her time at Michigan State University College of Law, Carson was a member of Michigan State Law Review and served on the Editorial Board as an Articles Editor. Carson was a student attorney at the Alvin L. Storrs Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic for two semesters where she assisted low-income clients with a variety of city, state, and federal tax-related issues. Throughout her time as a student attorney, Carson assisted clients with completing and amending their tax returns, worked to settle her clients’ tax debts, and helped international students navigate the United States tax system. During law school, Carson also spent a summer working as a law clerk for a Michigan-based law firm that focused on employment and municipal law matters. In this role, Carson assisted attorneys by drafting motions, conducting legal research, and analyzing employment contracts and severance agreements.
Carson was named to the Dean’s List every semester she was a law student and received Jurisprudence Achievement Awards for having the highest grade in five of her law school courses.
