Arti Batra counsels high net worth individuals, multigenerational families, and blended families on estate planning, charitable giving, retirement planning, planning for incapacity and disability, asset protection, business succession planning, and trust administration.
Before joining Bodman, Arti worked with Moss Adams, a public accounting firm based in Seattle, where she counseled clients and their professional advisors on ways to minimize estate, gift and generation skipping transfer taxes, including preparation of cash flow models and analyses demonstrating both income and estate tax liability. She also served as Senior Estate Planner and Vice President for Robert W. Baird & Co. as part of its wealth planning team.
Arti also founded and operated her own law firm in Southfield, Michigan where she established an estate planning practice that was largely concentrated on estate planning, estate administration, business succession planning, and tax planning for high net worth clients. She also advised closely-held business owners on proper business entity set up, prepared operating agreements and corporate minute books, drafted buy-sell agreements, and advised on liability protection and succession planning.
