Harvey W. Berman Named “Go To Lawyer” for Construction Law

Bodman is pleased to announce that Harvey W. Berman, chair of the firm’s Construction Law Practice Group, has been named a “Go To Lawyer” for construction law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
The Go To Lawyers program recognizes leading lawyers nominated by their peers for expertise in a particular field of law. Nominees are selected based on demonstrated expertise in their field of specialty, a track record of success over their careers, a reputation for providing creative solutions, and other factors.
Berman, who is based in Bodman’s Ann Arbor office, concentrates his practice in construction, contracts, real estate and business matters including claims and alternative dispute resolution. He is active in several major construction industry associations including the Forum on the Construction Industry of the American Bar Association, the Washtenaw Contractors Association, and the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Ann Arbor. Berman is also a LEED Accredited Professional specializing in sustainable building systems and practices.
Berman is a member of the board of directors of Fisher House Michigan and also serves as the organization’s legal counsel. He is also member of the boards of the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Ann Arbor and the Ann Arbor Student Building Industry Program, Inc. He has been recognized for expertise in Construction Law by The Best Lawyers in America and Michigan Super Lawyers. Berman has received the W. Nelson Vander Hyden Award for outstanding service to the construction industry from the Washtenaw Contractors Association and was named Associate of the Year by the Homebuilders Association of Washtenaw County.
