G. Christopher Bernard Nominated as a 2014 BTI Client Service All-Star

BTI Consulting, a leading provider of strategic research to law firms and general counsel, has named Bodman PLC attorney G. Christopher Bernard a “BTI Client Service All-Star” for 2014.
The “BTI Client Service All-Stars” are an elite group of attorneys nominated by clients in an objective, independent study for their exceptional client service. Bernard, who practices in Bodman’s Ann Arbor office, is one of 300 attorneys nationwide to be nominated for the “All-Star” designation this year.
Bernard represents and counsels business and municipal clients in complex commercial litigation matters, and routinely advises clients regarding contract and statutory issues. He has litigated a wide variety of cases at the trial court and appellate level, with particular experience in class action defense, ERISA litigation defense, defense of actions under the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA), lender liability defense, and bankruptcy adversary proceedings.
Before joining Bodman, Bernard served as a United States Marine Corps officer for eight years, including service in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and was honorably discharged from active duty in 1996 after attaining the rank of Captain.
Bernard provides pro bono legal service to veterans and Marine Reservists called to active duty. He serves as secretary of the Detroit Chapter of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association. He is listed as a 2014 “Top Lawyer” by DBusiness magazine.
