Experienced Business Litigator Andrew T. Blum Joins Bodman in Grand Rapids

Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that Andrew T. Blum has joined the firm as a member in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
Blum, who is based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office, focuses his practice in complex business litigation, particularly eminent domain and land use litigation, oil and gas rights disputes, business fraud/tort cases, and material supply agreement disputes in the automotive industry.
Andrew has represented both landowners and condemning authorities in eminent domain cases involving public improvements as diverse as natural gas pipelines, downtown development authorities, railroad crossings, road improvements, storm water treatment plants, bike trails, consolidated drains, electrical lines, sidewalk easements, parks, and ice rinks. He also has served as litigation counsel for financial institutions involved in Article III and Article IV Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) related disputes.
Before joining Bodman in May 2024, Blum was a principal with a large Michigan-based business law firm where he served as resident director of the Grand Rapids office.
Blum is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School and also earned his undergraduate degree at Notre Dame. He has continued to stay involved in the University as a member of the Notre Dame Club of Grand Rapids which honored him with its “Person of the Year” award in 2017. He serves in leadership roles with a number of charitable organizations in the Grand Rapids area, including Samaritas, the Conductive Learning Center of North America, and several boards and committees related to the Diocese of Grand Rapids, among others.
