Bodman PLC Continues Participation in Mansfield Rule 2024-2025 Program

Bodman PLC is proud to reaffirm its participation in Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule 2024-2025 certification process, a legal industry framework that is a science-backed and data-driven solution aimed at boosting inclusivity, access, and diversity in hiring and leadership opportunities. The 2024-2025 certification program runs from July 2024 to July 2025 and has over 365 firms participating.

“Since Bodman began participating in the Mansfield program in 2022, we have made a conscious effort to provide equitable opportunities, increase transparency and awareness, and foster a workplace that is inclusive and inviting to all,” said Bodman Chair Carrie Leahy. “We remain committed to promoting a work environment that allows all of our people to reach their full potential and helps us serve our clients well.”

The Mansfield Certification program is a year-long structured certification process designed to ensure all qualified talent at participating law firms has a transparent, fair, and equal opportunity to be considered for advancement into leadership.

In 2023, the firm was awarded Mansfield Rule 6.0 Certification Plus status, the highest level of designation, in its first year of participating. Bodman’s participation in the Mansfield Certification program is coordinated by the firm’s standing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee which tracks and certifies the firm’s progress toward the Mansfield program requirements, which include considering a slate of at least 30% underrepresented talent when appointing or electing firm leaders, promoting members to equity status, hiring senior-level laterals, selecting attorneys to participate in client pitch teams, and more.
