Intellectual Property Opportunities – Any Office – Full Time

Bodman PLC has more than 150 attorneys in offices throughout the state as well as a diverse client base that includes start‐ups, large enterprises, and businesses in a variety of industries. Bodman is expanding its Intellectual Property Practice Group, seeking to add legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys with expertise in transactional aspects of trademark, copyright, technology, and entertainment law.

Attorney expertise is desirable in the following areas:  national and international trademark counseling and prosecution, licensing, and enforcement; copyright ownership, registration, licensing and enforcement; endorsement contracts; advertising law; option and production agreements; and technology development, ownership, and licensing.

While substantive experience is an important requirement, professionalism is equally critical.  We seek positive individuals who are highly organized, who like challenges, are team players, and like to learn.  Personnel must be highly responsive to inquiries from clients and members of the Firm and be relied upon to create written work product of the highest quality. IP Group members will be working with many different technologies, including the online platforms of the US Patent and Trademark Office and Copyright Office, third party trademark databases (such as Corsearch), law firm document management systems, docketing systems (such as AltLegal), well-established applications such as Microsoft Office, and be adept at leaning new technologies.
