Overview

Estella Riahi is a member of Bodman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. She represents clients in connection with intellectual property transactions pertaining to trademark, copyright, trade dress, advertising, trade secret, and brand protection matters.

Before joining Bodman as an attorney, Ms. Riahi worked at the firm as a summer associate, gaining exposure to a broad range of clients and legal issues. She has served as a law clerk at the Ingham County 30th Circuit Court Annex for Judge David Jordon and Judge Clinton Canady III. In addition, Ms. Riahi was a Brand Protection Policy Extern for the American Apparel & Footwear Association where she supported the development of presentation content for policy-oriented speaking engagements regarding IP brand protection for over 1,000 brands.

During her time at Michigan State University College of Law, Ms. Riahi was active in the law student community. As a member of the Moot Court Board of Advocates, she participated in the Seigenthaler-Sutherland National Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C. and finished as a quarterfinalist. She also placed as a Top Four finalist in her law school’s 1L Oral Advocacy Competition and as a Top 10 oralist in her Moot Court Class Competition. She served as Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Society. Additionally, she was actively involved with the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (WLAM) as a member of the WLAM’s Leadership Class of 2022 and was awarded the Carolyn Stell Scholarship and the Outstanding Law Student Scholarship for academic achievement.

She is fluent in Korean.
