Bodman Attorneys Lindsay M. Cummings and John David Gardiner Selected for Inaugural Top Lawyers List

By: Bodman PLC

12/03/19

Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that two of its attorneys, Lindsay M. Cummings and John David Gardiner, have been selected for the inaugural Top Lawyers list published in the December 2019 issue of Grand Rapids Magazine.

The Top Lawyers list is based on a peer-review survey sent to lawyers in the Grand Rapids area. Lawyers were asked to nominate peers based on excellence in their area of practice. Inclusion on the list is based solely on the results of the peer vote.

Cummings, who practices in Bodman’s Grand Rapids office, is listed in the category of Trusts & Estates. She represent individuals in connection with estate planning and estate administration matters including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, guardianships, conservatorships, and trust and probate administration. Cummings has served as a visiting professor with Western Michigan University Cooley Law School where she taught contracts and continues to teach estate planning as an adjunct professor.

Cummings is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Law and earned her undergraduate degree at Albion College.

Gardiner, who also practices in Bodman’s Grand Rapids office, is listed in the category of White Collar Criminal Defense. He represents business owners and their families in connection with alleged white collar crime and other criminal investigations and also focuses his legal practice on representing employers in employment law matters and on general business and civil litigation matters. Gardiner serves on the board of Legal Aid of Western Michigan and on the Michigan Bankers Association Human Resources Committee. He is a graduate of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce Leadership Grand Rapids program (Class of 2018-2019). He volunteers with a number of charities related to the Catholic Diocese of Kalamazoo.

Gardiner is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College.
