Word Processor – Detroit Office

Bodman PLC is one of Michigan’s leading business law firms with more than 150 lawyers and five offices.  Bodman has a diverse client base that includes individuals and businesses in a variety of industries, with emphasis on financial services, automotive, real estate and construction, high tech, manufacturing, health care, and other sectors.

We are looking for a full-time evening word processor for our Detroit office. Type, edit and transcribe legal documents and handwritten materials received from attorneys and their assistants in a busy law office.  Proofread and redline documents to ensure accuracy of material, grammar and punctuation. 

Requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent; previous experience of 2-5 years in a legal or professional environment preferred.  Must possess excellent typing skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, including styling; knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; knowledge of legal terms preferred. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Ability to proofread typed material for grammatical, typographical or spelling errors. Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work quickly, efficiently and confidently without close supervision.

Position hours are Monday – Friday, 12pm – 8pm.
