Overview

Mr. Cox represents corporate clients in matters concerning corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions.

He has experience drafting commercial lending and financing documents, and has advised technology-based companies on venture capital finance transactions and entity formation.

Before joining Bodman, Mr. Cox was an associate in the corporate practice group of a large local law firm where he represented business clients on a broad range of corporate and finance matters.

While in law school he interned with United States District Judge Avern Cohn in Detroit where he wrote bench memoranda regarding civil rights litigation and contract disputes. As an undergraduate he interned with United States Sen. Carl Levin in Washington, DC where he conducted research and wrote memoranda on economic and foreign policy.

Mr. Cox was a Senior Member of Wayne State University Law School’s Moot Court and served as Associate Editor of the Wayne Law Review. He received the Dean’s Scholar Award, the Professor Alan Schenk Annual Student Prize, and the State Bar of Michigan Tax Student Achievement Award.
