Overview

Karolina Powalka is a business transactions attorney who focuses her work on collaborating with clients to reduce risk effectively and efficiently.

Karolina primarily works with business clients of all sizes negotiating agreements in the areas of licensing, software, technology, marketing, human resources, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and other goods and services. Karolina especially enjoys collaborating with entrepreneurs and start-up founders as they strategize and grow their business, by providing a practical business-minded approach.

Karolina is also an advocate for the special needs community and proudly serves as the Chair of FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation, a non-profit that provides music, art, dance, and recreational therapy to individuals of all ages and diagnoses.

Before joining Bodman, Karolina worked as an associate attorney for a small southeast Michigan law firm where she participated in various business transactions and in civil litigation involving real estate, construction, and general business issues.

Karolina is fluent in Polish.
