Overview

Ms. Sheikh is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She represents clients involved in complex commercial litigation matters.

Before joining Bodman as an associate attorney, Ms. Sheikh worked with the firm as a summer associate, gaining exposure to a broad range of clients and legal issues. She has also conducted research and drafted memoranda in connection with civil rights, constitutional law, and tort cases.

While at Wayne State University Law School on a full tuition Dean’s Scholarship, Ms. Sheikh was the recipient of the Silver and Bronze Key Certificates for academic achievement. 

She was a member of the Wayne Law in-house, outside-competition, and ABA National Moot Court teams where she won 1st place in the Solo, Team, and Brief Writer categories at the Arthur Neef Wayne Law In-House Moot Court Competition, as well as winning the Cardozo Law BMI/Entertainment Moot Court Competition’s 2nd place Brief award.  Ms. Sheikh was the Professional Responsibility Chair of the Women’s Law Caucus and President of the ACLU-Student Chapter at Wayne Law. She also worked as a Student Attorney at the Wayne Law Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic, taking a special interest in women and children’s rights. 

Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Sheikh represented the United States as an internationally and nationally ranked ice skater.  As an elite competitive and professional ice skater, she was a skating instructor, director of theatrical ice shows, and spokesperson for an international sports equipment manufacturer.  During undergraduate school, Ms. Sheikh lived in Morocco where she completed her honors college thesis research and studied at the Arabic Language Institute of Fez, gaining proficiency in the Arabic language.

Ms. Sheikh is active in pro bono and volunteer work, including the Family Adoption Program at Matrix Family Services and student mentoring with VIP Mentoring, Inc.
