Rebecca D'Arcy O'Reilly has joined the firm as co-chair of the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice Group. Bodman recently represented Art Van Elslander and his iconic furniture store, Art Van, Inc., in the sale of the company and its subsidiaries to private equity firm Thomas H. Lee Partners of Boston. The M&A team was led by Carrie Leahy and David Larsen. Art Van operates more than 100 facilities located in five states.

Bodman's Data Privacy and Security team represented a multinational technology corporation in a data breach that affected 20,000 current and former employees. We reviewed the breached data, drafted letters to the affected individuals and state governments, prepared court filings, and revised company privacy policies.

Bodman's Automotive team represented a Tier One Supplier in its acquisition of an automotive technology company that provides vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications that helps with collision avoidance, geo-fencing, truck platooning, traffic signal notifications, and other transportation issues. This moves the supplier into new technology space that is rapidly changing the automotive industry.
